# Native Token

www\.vorachain.com

**VORA Native Token** means the main cryptocurrency of the Vorachain network.

VORA is used to pay transaction fees (gas fees), transfer value, support staking and validator rewards, and access services within the Vorachain ecosystem. Unlike a token created on another blockchain, VORA is built directly into Vorachain and is required to operate transactions on the network.

## 🌐Network Information

### 💰 Token Specifications <a href="#token-specifications" id="token-specifications"></a>

Every transaction on the VoraChain network requires a small amount of VRA to process. VRA is used similarly to: ETH on Ethereum, BNB on BNB Chain, MATIC/POL on Polygon

| Specification       | Details                  |
| ------------------- | ------------------------ |
| Native token        | VORA                     |
| Token Symbol        | VRA                      |
| Ecosystem           | +50 Project              |
| Blockchain Support  | EVM                      |
| Decimals            | 18                       |
| Total Supply        | 200,000,000 VRA          |
| Max Supply          | 200,000,000 VRA          |
| Consensus Mechanism | Proof of Authority (PoA) |
| Block Time          | <2 second                |
| Finality            | <1-2 second              |

## ⚡ Performance Analysis <a href="#performance-analysis" id="performance-analysis"></a>

**🚀 Speed**

VoraChain uses a Proof of Authority (PoA) consensus mechanism, enabling faster block confirmations and lower resource consumption compared to traditional Proof of Work systems.

With an average block time of approximately 2 seconds:

TPS ≈ Transactions / Seconds

#### 🔹 Example Formula <a href="#example-formula" id="example-formula"></a>

Gas cost calculation on EVM chains generally follows:

*Transaction Fee= Gas Used × Gas Price*

Where:

* **Gas Used** = computational workload
* **Gas Price** = price paid per gas unit

## 🔐 Security Considerations <a href="#security-considerations" id="security-considerations"></a>

**Best Practices**

1. **Hardware Wallets**: Use for large holdings
2. **Multi-Signature**: For treasury management
3. **Regular Audits**: Smart contract review
4. **Secure Storage**: Never share private keys

**Risk Management**

* **Volatility**: Cryptocurrency price fluctuations
* **Smart Contract Risk**: Audit before interaction
* **Bridge Risk**: Verify bridge contracts
* **Custody Risk**: Self-custody responsibility

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://vorachain.gitbook.io/vorachain-docs/reference/native-token.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
