## 📖 What Is Vorachain?

<a href="/vorachain-docs/getting-started/getting-started.md" class="button secondary" data-icon="rocket-launch">Getting Started</a><a href="https://vorascan.io/" class="button secondary" data-icon="globe">Explorer</a><a href="/vorachain-docs/getting-started/chain-rpc.md" class="button secondary" data-icon="link">Chain RPC</a>

Vorachain is a blockchain network designed to support secure, transparent, and efficient digital services. It provides the infrastructure for users, developers, businesses, and communities to create, manage, and exchange digital assets through decentralized technology.

Built with EVM compatibility, Vorachain allows developers to create and deploy smart contracts using familiar Ethereum-based tools and standards. This makes it easier for decentralized applications, tokens, wallets, exchanges, staking platforms, marketplaces, and other Web3 services to operate within the Vorachain ecosystem.

The native cryptocurrency of the network is called VORA. VORA is used to pay transaction fees, also known as gas fees, when users send assets, interact with smart contracts, trade tokens, or use decentralized applications. VORA can also be used for staking, validator participation, rewards, liquidity, and access to selected ecosystem services.

Vorachain is supported by validator nodes that help verify transactions, produce blocks, and maintain the security and availability of the network. Validators play an important role in ensuring that blockchain activity follows the protocol rules and is recorded transparently on the distributed ledger.

The Vorachain ecosystem is designed to include a range of practical Web3 products. These may include VORA Wallet for managing digital assets, VORA Swap for decentralized token trading, VORA Bridge for moving supported assets between networks, VORA Vault for staking, and VORA Marketplace for digital commerce. Each service is intended to help users access blockchain tools from one connected ecosystem.

Transparency is a core benefit of blockchain technology. Transactions on Vorachain can be recorded on-chain and reviewed through a blockchain explorer, allowing users to verify transaction details, wallet activity, smart-contract addresses, and network data.

Vorachain aims to make blockchain technology more accessible and useful for everyday users and businesses. By combining smart contracts, decentralized infrastructure, and digital asset services, Vorachain provides a foundation for a growing Web3 economy where users can interact directly with applications while maintaining greater control over their digital assets.

# Agent Instructions
This documentation is published with GitBook. GitBook is the documentation platform designed so that both humans and AI agents can read, navigate, and reason over technical content effectively. Learn more at gitbook.com.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://vorachain.gitbook.io/vorachain-docs/welcome-to-vorachain.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
